What are the office reception hours?
The Student Accommodation office is open Monday to Friday 8:00AM to 6:00PM . While Jacaranda Hall reception desk is open Monday to Friday 8:00AM to 10:00PM
Can I check-in on the weekend?
Unfortunately, no unless specified on your Licence Agreement
Can I move in before the official check-in date?
Unfortunately, no . If you’re coming from overseas or interstate you’ll need to arrange alternative accommodation until your check-in date.
Can I move in after the official check-in date?
Yes . You can move in after the official contract date, but you’re required to pay from the date on your agreement . You’ll also need to contact the Student Accommodation office to advise when you’ll be checking-in. Check-in hours are 8:00AM to 6:00PM Monday to Friday only.
What documents do I need to bring when I move in?
Please make sure you bring photo ID , eg. a passport.
Can someone check-in on my behalf?
No , for security reasons only the Licence Agreement holder can check-in to their chosen Accommodation.
How can I get from the train station/airport to UNSW?

Can I have mail, parcels or luggage delivered even though I’m not there yet?
Unfortunately for security reasons, we can’t store any belongings before you arrive. You can order a linen or kitchen pack in advance , reducing the number of items to bring with you. Simply go to Suite Design to make an order and they can arrange easy delivery for you.
Can I find out who my flatmates are if I’m sharing?
For privacy reasons, we can’t release this information before you’ve moved in. When you’re sharing with other people, we try to keep the gender balance pretty even . There are also some female only or male only apartments.
Can I bring a car?
UNSW provides a limited number of on-campus car parking spaces and this is managed by the Security and Traffic Management Office. To apply for a parking permit, please contact UNSW vPermit website . Parking on campus is free only when parked in a marked bay: Outside of the permit hours of 7.30am
Can I bring my bike?
Unfortunately, there are no bicycle parking at Apartments. However there are limited bicycle parking around Colleges and the wider university. If you leave your bike attached to railings, at building entrances or chained to fire stairs, it will be removed by UNSW Security. Bike-ology is a volunteer

As soon as you move in, it’s really important to complete your room inventory/condition report via the online Resident Portal . You should note if anything is missing or broken in your room and this information will be passed on to our Facilities Manager for rectification. It also ensures when you

If this happens, please contact the Student Accommodation office and they can either try and rectify the problem or provide you with a hardcopy of the condition report to be completed.
