My flatmates never clean our communal areas – what should I do?
Whether you’re living in a single room in one of the colleges or sharing a room in one of the apartments, you’ll undoubtedly be sharing common spaces with other people.
The best thing to do is to sit down with all of your flatmates when you move in, maybe over some pizza and organise a cleaning schedule. This way everyone knows their role/s from the get-go and there should hopefully be no surprises down the track. You can rotate the schedule and even take turns buying cleaning products.
If there are problems, the quickest way to solve them is to sit down and talk about it.
However, if you’re still having issues, you can either speak to your Community Assistants or contact the Student Accommodation office and we’ll try and help.
What’s the check-out procedure?
