There is a strong sense of community participation amongst all the students living on campus at UNSW. This manifests itself in sport, charities and social and cultural activities.
Jam in a Jar
An 18+ charity concert hosted by The Kensington Colleges - with a lineup of local performers and in-house ressie artists. This year, all funds were raised for Twenty10 and BlaQ.

2016 Highlight | Raising funds for two very worthy causes
The annual 'Shave for a Cure' fundraiser saw Dean Anthony McGirr of Philip Baxter College challenge the residents to top $8,000 in donations and he would submit to the clippers!
Rising to the challenge, the residents raised over $10,000 and Anthony got a free and very short new haircut!
The following week saw several hundred music lovers treated to an impressive roster of bands and DJ's as part of the TKC major annual fundraiser, Jam in a Jar. Held at the Roundhouse and raising funds for the youth mental health network HEADSPACE, over 400 tickets were sold raising nearly $10,000.
