Meet some of the students from the University Terraces.

Neetika Nagpal

Student

I’m from New Delhi, India and moved with my partner to Sydney in 2015 to start my law degree. Since the city and people were absolutely new to us, we decided to opt for university accommodation.

It was a smooth process to get a place and move in. It also meant we didn’t have to worry about electricity or internet bills and maintenance requirements were always taken care of, leaving heaps of time for studying, entertainment and relaxation.

The Terraces are extremely comfortable and clean and being centrally located, getting around is really easy. We initially planned to leave within 6 months, but the comfort factor has kept us here and we love it!

Ian Low

Student

I’m an international student from Singapore in the first year of my undergraduate studies. I always knew I wanted to live on campus, at least for the first year so I could focus on my studies and settle in quickly without having to worry about buying furniture and bills. I also knew I wanted to live alone. And so, after careful consideration, I applied for the Terraces and it’s really been the perfect option for me.

Living on campus is so convenient, letting me wake up later and I can stay in the library till late, knowing home is only a few minutes away. The Terraces are slightly pricier compared to other options, but for me, the perks make it all worthwhile. I value the safety and security of the building, the study areas on each floor and all of the restaurants and cafes right at my doorstep. Plus, the UNSW Fitness & Aquatic centre is right next to the Terraces, which is really convenient!

What are you studying?

Aviation (management).

What 3 words describe the Terraces?

Modern. Secure. Convenient.

If you could live in a book, TV show or movie, what would it be?

Game of Thrones.

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and why?

I’d love to go Europe again soon. It’s really beautiful and the pace of life is just so relaxing.

If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would it be?

Chuck Yeager. He has an awesome personality.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

I’d love to be able to learn as many languages as possible. It’s a key to so many different and wonderful cultures.
